HOT RODS HIT THE HARBOUR
Winterfest Port Stephens is gearing up for another huge weekend of chrome, horsepower and coastal cruising, with the 2026 event locked in for July 10-12.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Port Stephens marina precinct, the event blends cool cars with a relaxed holiday atmosphere, surrounded by beaches, cafes, shopping and waterfront views. The weekend will again feature the popular Saturday cruise through town, while Sunday’s main event transforms Nelson Bay into a giant open-air car show packed with everything from hot rods and custom machinery spanning more than a century of motoring history. After attracting around 300 vehicles and thousands of spectators last year, organiser Paul Tyszyk is expecting the event to grow yet again, with hopes of cracking the 400-car mark in 2026.
The event also continues its strong support of the Mark Hughes Foundation, after raising an impressive $15,000 last year. Motorsport legend John Bowe will headline the Friday night welcome dinner on July 10, while aerobatic superstar Matt Hall will appear during Sunday’s festivities, including a fan session and Red Bull aerobatic display.
