CRUZIN MAGAZINENEWS

CRUZIN MAGAZINE #295

If you had to do a double-take at our cover car this issue, that’s okay — that is a V12 Lincoln in John Bennett’s chopped and channelled Model A Ford!

But it’s not the only hot rod with a difference in Cruzin #295. Len Souter’s 1932 Chevy five-passenger coupe is a rare beast downunder, and we take a walk around this long-term rodder’s latest project while talking plenty about the old days too.

Whittling his own niche in the hot rod world, and at his own pace, is Ted O’Shannessy with his custom-built 1937 Ford woody. It’s a great tale of a relative newcomer to the hobby who has plenty more to offer.

We drop in on Ray Parker to check out his duo of deuces and a mighty fine Chevy truck, then spotlight Tim Kemp’s 1960 Plymouth wagon as we critique an outrageous era in Chrysler design.

Finally, we head to South Australia for the long-running Cruise On event held in the Barossa Valley by none other than Valley Rodders, then hightail it to Tasmania for the Early Falcon Nationals.

In our regular columns, Aussie Norm continues with his salty tales, Craig ‘Style’ Counsell visits the Otaihanga Hot Rod Picnic, Alan Barton examines the Henry J in scale, and Lori Lee Cash chats with the Flattrakkers.
