WILLYS KOOL BODS HIT THE STREET

For Lindsay Trevaskis, building cars is more than a hobby – it’s a way of life.

A long-time hot rodder and American car importer, Lindsay had always dreamed of owning a tough ’41 Willys coupe. After spotting an Australian-made Willys Kool fibreglass body and pro-street chassis package at the Sydney Hot Rod and Custom Expo, he snapped it up and enlisted Andrew Hodges of Hodgeys Hot Rods and Customs to bring his Pro Street vision to life. Powered by an injected 502 big-block, trimmed in grey leather, and finished in striking green, the Willys was completed in just 2½ years. It’s a true bucket-list build—built to drive, enjoy, and turn heads.

Willys Kool offers a comprehensive 1941 Willys fibreglass body and chassis package designed for serious street machine and hot rod builds. Each body is hand-laid in fibreglass and features rolled-edge fenders with a smooth under-body finish. The hood, boot and doors come fully hinged with latches, while a USA specialty electric glass window kit is included for the doors. The uniquely designed chassis is engineered to suit IDFS front suspension and features a tubbed rear end with four-bar mounting points, allowing for generous tyre clearance and high-performance driveline options. Packages start from $37,500 (ex Melbourne).
