CRUZIN MAGAZINENEWS

CRUZIN MAGAZINE #293

Cruzin Magazine #293 packs another solid serving of traditional rods, customs and grassroots car culture.

On the cover, Matt Black’s 1931 Ford Coupe, an A Model with horsepower heritage, reborn with style. Alan Borserio’s beautiful 1936 Ford Tudor blends classic hot rod attitude with carefully executed detail and stance, while John Kotopoulis’ 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is the black beauty we all admired as kids.

Dave “Div” White’s 1932 Chevrolet roadster is unique with a Ford Flathead under the hood, and from Europe, Gary Knight’s stunning 1950 Buick Sedanette custom. Finally, we head to the shed for Craig Dykes’ 1934 Ford coupe, an old hot rod being rebuilt with a distinctly Aussie vibe.

This month, we also head to Mildura and the laid-back vibe of the Desert City Rodders Goanna Run, where rods, customs and cruisers converge for a weekend of cruising and good times. The nostalgia continues in 50 Years On, as it reflects on the Griffiths Biggest Lap at the Street Machine Nationals and revisits the history and enduring appeal of Australia’s street machine scene.

In our columns, Norm from Big Knob Racing begins an odyssey into his history of lakes racing, Craig ‘Style’ Counsell visits New Zealand’s Palmy Swap and Kruzin Kustoms open house, Alan Barton recreates a well-known 1960 Australian hot rod in small scale, and Lori Lee Cash checks out the rockabilly scene in Japan. Thanks also to photog Phil Kellow at Cars-Cocktails-Culture for our Reckless Penny centrefold this month!
