COASTAL CRUISING AT ITS BEST!

Some things in life are worth doing over and over again, and for hundreds of Aussie hot rodders, the annual pilgrimage to Yamba is right up there! Borderline Street Rodders are gearing up for their 33rd Yamba Rod Run from November 12–15, 2026, and another cracking weekend of cruising, camaraderie and coastal good times awaits.

Over three decades, this northern NSW favourite has evolved into something of an annual holiday for many entrants, with generations of families returning for their yearly fix of chrome, horsepower and seaside hospitality.

As long-time organiser Lew Falzon once explained, “We have outgrown the main street arrangement,” which says plenty about the event’s popularity!

The fun begins Thursday evening with registration and a chance to catch up with old mates. Friday is all about cruising the picturesque coastal roads, before Saturday’s big Show ‘n’ Shine takes over Ford Park and surrounding streets from 8am until noon.

With almost 500 vehicles attending in previous years, there’s always plenty to admire.

“The quality of cars always blows us away,” says major sponsor Darren Cahill of Cahill’s Speed Shop.

Saturday afternoon sees entrants return to NRMA Blue Dolphin Yamba Holiday Resort for more socialising, games, an auction and dinner, while Sunday wraps things up with breakfast and presentations.

Open to pre-1978 vehicles, weekend entry is $65 single, $110 double or $130 family, with under 12s free.
