The GM Type 2 power steering pump from Cal Custom is a compact solution when clearance to chassis rails or inner guard panels is limited. Available with or without an integrated fluid reservoir, the pump can reach pressures up to 1200 PSI, which is impressive for such a small pump. These pumps utilise the standard 0.663” shaft size, allowing you to fit a factory-style press-fit pulley or a billet Cal Custom pulley. Be aware that if you are installing on a Small Block Chevy, there are different pulley offsets for the short- and long-water-pump configurations. Because these pumps are based on the original GM design, they are compatible with most original and aftermarket mounting brackets.
