ART WITH ATTITUDE
The GreazeFest Art Show has become one of the festival’s coolest attractions, proving that kustom kulture isn’t just about what rolls through the gates — it’s also about what hangs on the walls.
The 2025 show was a ripper, with artists from around the country transforming plain metal road signs into eye-catching works of art. From pinstriping and painting to clever concepts and outright humour, the display attracted hundreds of public votes and plenty of attention throughout the weekend.
For 2026, the challenge returns with a fresh theme: Vintage Sign Art. Artists will receive a blank metal sign and complete it in the style of an old-school garage, diner, roadside attraction, service station, or advertising sign. The result is expected to be another colourful collection of hand-crafted artwork celebrating the creativity, talent and individuality that have always been at the heart of the kustom scene. Better still, the artworks will be available for purchase, with proceeds helping support the RSPCA.
Of course, the Art Show is just one reason to head along to GreazeFest 2026. Running from July 31 to August 2 at the Redland Showgrounds in Cleveland, Queensland, the event will again deliver a huge weekend of hot rods, customs, motorcycles, live rockabilly bands, pin-up competitions, market stalls, vintage fashion, dancing, cruising and good times. Whether you’re an artist, car builder or simply a fan of cool culture, GreazeFest is one event you won’t want to miss.
