CRUZIN MAGAZINE #283
Where else would you rather cruise this stunning Caddy in Australia than the sunny Gold Coast?
Signwriter George Mulder regularly experiences that pleasure behind the wheel of his chopped and dropped 1967 Cadillac coupe, but it didn’t come without a few bumps along the way. Speaking of bumps, those in the hood sides of Peter Gruyter’s bare metal duece are there to accommodate one helluva engine – a Boss 429 stretched out to 572 cubes!
But the standouts in this issue don’t stop there. Andrew Dziadek’s flathead-powered Willys Jeep is something special, and Californian Todd Lancaster’s Model A is a good lesson in early Ford traditional hot rodding. Finally, we have a soft spot for Plymouths, and Gerard Binder’s ’39 sedan is a home-built hot rod we can all relate to.
Getting out of the office this issue took us to the Pasadena Roadster Club Reliability Run, an event with roots back to the 1940s, and a local shindig hosted by the Eliminators Hot Rod & American Car Club in Brissy. We also have a one-on-one with John Leggett of EDI Customs on shipping your wheels to and from abroad.
A special welcome to our new regular columnists – Alan Barton presenting Model Citizens, and Craig ‘Style’ Counsell with New Zealand News. Last but not least, our centre poster this month is the handiwork of Phil Kellow at Cars-Cocktails-Culture.
