FORD CUSTOMLINE AND MAINLINE NATIONALS
The first ever Ford Customline & Mainline National Meet will be held in Leeton, NSW, from August 21–23, 2026.
Catering for all Ford Customline and Mainline vehicles from 1952 to 1959, Australian or US-built, the weekend agenda includes a cruise and meet-and-greet on Friday, more cruising on Saturday with a twilight show-and-shine, and a group photo shoot at Brobenah Air Strip on Sunday. The program has been designed to make the most of the historic town’s attractions and local produce.
“As there has never been a national meet for these vehicles held in Australia before, we are expecting a large turnout,” said organiser Darren Freer. “Already, we have received entries from Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and NSW, as well as enquiries from a group planning to drive over from Western Australia.”
The inaugural event has all the makings of a success, boasting a picturesque location and a passionate group of enthusiasts who are rarely put in the spotlight.
“We’ll be closing off a road that’s surrounded by Art Deco buildings, with the Roxy Theatre down the end, all lit up with neon. There are markets going on Saturday night as well. We’ll get some other cars from around town, too,” Darren adds.
“On Sunday, the local aero club has a lot of vintage aircraft, so they’re going to combine this run with their vintage aircraft fly-in weekend. They reckon they’ll have about 30 vintage planes at the aerodrome. So we’ll take all the cars out there, and once they leave, we’ll send a drone up and get group photos of the cars.”
