GRAND NATIONAL WINNERS 2025

Years in the making, finished to absolute perfection, functional without compromise, and more costly than fathomable, building an America’s Most Beautiful Roadster winner is the dream of many, but the honour of few. As this year’s 75th anniversary LA Roadster show looked back on winners of the past, it took nothing away from the 11 contenders that vied for arguably the most coveted prize in hot rodding.

And the winner? Ross and Beth Myers’ 1936 Ford. Built by the crew at Rad Rides by Troy, the Myers’ roadster is a ground-up creation based on a 1936 Ford. Nestled within the hand-built frame and body is a 312 cube Y-block with a McCullough supercharger in front of a Bowler four-speed auto and Winters quick-change rear. Other notable features are the torsion bar suspension, custom machined wide-five mid-century race-inspired rims, and Porsche Aventurine green metallic paint, customised, of course.

While the hot rod roadsters battle it out for AMBR, the best of the rest is awarded the Al Slonaker award. Picking up the prize this year was ‘Aurabella’, a 1933 Pontiac built for Bill and Angela Barbato, admired for its many subtle body mods, one-off interior components, and 8/71 supercharged and injected 400 Pontiac V8 with dozens of hand-crafted details.
