The annual Downunder Beachfest will return in 2024, from May 29 through June 2, in and around the sunny suburbs of Caloundra and the Queensland Sunshine Coast.

Wednesday, May 29.

Early birds are invited to register from 8am before blasting off later that morning for a cruise to Helltown Hot Rods for lunch. Return at your leisure and gather from 5pm at Autobarn Maroochydore for a car show under lights.

Thursday, May 30.

Grab coffee in the brisk morning air from 6am (location TBA) for an early morning gathering before cruising via Lake Baroon to the Bowdens collection, where race-car collector David Bowden has assembled the gods of Australian touring car racing. Registrations will open up again from 3pm to 6pm as live music and food vans get underway at the Kings Beach Amphitheatre.

Friday, May 31.

Go shopping, explore the Hinterland, or just laze about on Friday morning; the best is yet to come! Local hot rodders, the Suncoast Rod & Custom Club, will host their annual day run today. Meanwhile, the weekend warriors can register from 2pm through 6pm, just in time for the ever-popular Super Cruise Night!

Saturday, June 1.

Pinch and a punch… everyone up early, please, for the Main Street Show and Shine from 6am until 2.30pm. This closed street party brings out the best that Beachfest has to offer – cool cars, good friends, music, dance, shopping, all in the heart of one of the most popular tourist hubs in the country!

Sunday, June 2.

Beachfest lost a much-loved friend with the passing of artist Aden Jacobi, who has prepared the colourful Beachfest artwork since its inception. On Sunday, the Aden Jacobi Memorial Show will run from 7am to 1pm, a fitting wrap-up to Downunder Beachfest 2024.

Make sure you register for the full itinerary and weekend access! It’s all at

The late Aden Jacobi’s incompleted artwork (left) will feature on selected items of Beachfest 2024 merchandise this year. He will also be honoured at the Downunder Beachfest 2024 Finale on Sunday morning, June 2nd.

It's only fair to share…
