After only being allowed to deliver half a show in 2021, GreazeFest is ready to double down in 2022! If you’ve never stepped up for the GreazeFest experience, be assured that it is the primo rockabilly and kustom kulture festival in the country, if not the southern hemisphere! An exciting weekend of cool cars, rockabilly bands, DJs, fashion parades, pinups, vintage bikes, lowrider cycles, kustom art, pinstripers, markets and more, it’s a family friendly function that celebrates everything that used to be scary.
The show kicks off on Friday evening with live music at the Redlands Showgrounds ‘til late. The stage fires up again late on Saturday morning and runs all day and into the evening, finishing off with a full day program on Sunday. Almost two dozen live acts and DJs feature on the playlist, including Jesse Dayton and Lil’ Mo from the USA, and the who’s who of Australian rockabilly.
The Greazefest markets line the entire arena so take your time and enjoy the shopping experience. The theme for this year’s art show is Built for Speed, so expect some fast competition for the King Artist award. And don’t miss out on the pin up parades, fun and classy as usual. Of course, we love our wheels, and the hot rod show powers up from 10am to 5pm Saturday, and 9am-5pm Sunday. Open to pre-75 cars and cool cycles, vehicle entry is free but humans still pay admission, roll in early to avoid the crowd. You can pay on the day or buy your tickets in advance.
The 2022 Greazefest Kustom Kulture Festival runs from July 29-31 at Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland, QLD. Everything you need to know is at greazefest.com.
