NO GO YOKO – MOONEYES SHOW CANCELLED

It comes as little surprise that the 29th Annual Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show scheduled for December 2020 has been cancelled. Even if it was to proceed, getting there and getting home would be the biggest hurdle.

“We have decided to cancel the event to prevent further spread of infection, and we still don’t know when our gateway will open for international travelers before December 2020. We deeply apologize for people who had been considering to participate in the event,” said Shige Suganuma in the official release.

“Next year, December 5th 2021 will be the 30th Anniversary for the HCS. We want people from all over the world to gather in Yokohama and, to have a bright and happy time together, so we will work hard to hold the event and look forward to seeing you again.”

For the uninitiated, the Yokohama Hot Rod and Custom Show is a massive one day event and attracts fans from all over the world. We recently visited the event in 2019 and our coverage appeared in Cruzin #233, you can take a peek here at https://www.cruzin.com.au/2020/08/20/full-moon-rising-28th-yokohama-hot-rod-and-custom-show-2019/
