Victoria will redline in January 2020 with two of hot rodding’s most prominent events.
The Kustom Nationals Beach Party at Phillip Island has evolved into two massive days (plus a pre-party)at two different locations. On Saturday, January 18, the weekend fires up with an all day gig at the San Remo Foreshore with live bands, vendors and plenty of food outlets to take your order. On Sunday, the party goes on at the Cowes Foreshore with another massive street show and all day entertainment. Put together by the crew at John’s Rod and Kustom, the awards list will include the coveted title of Australia’s Most Beautiful Kustom. Visit kustoms.com.au for entry and information.
The weekend after, the entertainment moves indoors for the 2020 Victorian Hot Rod and Cool Rides Show in the Royal Exhibition Building at Carlton. The longest running event of its type in the country, Australia’s elite will be competing for dozens of prizes including the honour of Australia’s Coolest Car. Making the most of the Australia Day long weekend, the doors will be open for three big days – Saturday, January 25 (10am-8pm), Sunday, January 26 (10am-8pm) and Monday, January 27 (10am-6pm). Everything you need to know is at www.hotrod.com.au.
With the close proximity of the two events within the holiday period, it could be a good opportunity to make Melbourne your destination for that week!
