Cruzin issue #223 is in newsagents right now! We were fortunate enough to have this mag on sale at the recent ASRF Nationals at Maryborough, where the historic roadster on the cover was the talk of the town. Gary Wright wore a younger man’s clothes when he built the car in the mid 1960s, the channeled deuce roadster eventually lost to time until being rediscovered by Michael Morris more than a decade ago. His dedication in restoring the roadster back to its original hot rod form is fascinating.

Sharing the space is Andrew Vella’s 1960 Cadillac – a car many have seen but few know the story behind. We also bring you a bare bones Model A, a beautiful ’56 Chevy hardtop that’s more than meets the eye, a mad Willys pickup and eyeball a rare Henry J in the build.

We were pretty chuffed to be at the inaugural Old School Carralbyn Drags, held on the airstrip at Kooralbyn Valley Resort in Queensland. If the name is hard to remember, the atmosphere certainly wasn’t, it was old time drag action at its purest. From South Australia is the first ever Billetproof downunder, then we head back to Melbourne to take a tour of Airide Suspension, Australia’s primo suppliers of air suspension. Make sure you check out our classifieds, in the mag and online!
