The Blue Lake Nationals 2018 is fast approaching and the welcome mat will definitely be out to welcome rodders to this picturesque city. There has been a tremendous amount of work put in by the hard working committee to ensure that the event is a success.
The showgrounds venue is very well laid out with great facilities. There is an extensive bitumen road network which will provide a great cruising track, extensive grassed areas and undercover eating areas and exhibitor spaces.
There is still plenty of room in the well set out on site camping facilities that are within the grounds but in an area segregated from the public. Many powered sites are still available. In the town itself there are a large number of motels, apartments, and bed & breakfast facilities.
The committee has put together an extensive program commencing on Friday with a cruise out to Penola and the south easts famous Coonawarra wine district. On the Saturday and Sunday you can park your car and jump on a bus and do a tour of the famous caves at Nelson or visit Pt Mcdonnell as well as the extensive Feasts car museum. Buses will be back in time for the ladies day on Saturday and trophy presentations on the Sunday. The buses are free, but reduced admission prices apply to the tourist attractions if you desire to enter.
There is a welcome BBQ on Friday night, a ladies day on the Saturday, dinner dance on the Saturday night, driving events, Sunday pancake breakfast and much, much more.
The committee asks that rodders around Australia support this value for money ASRF sanctioned event.
See you on the road.
