We’ve got some monster event coverage in issue #214 of Cruzin. When two of the most popular events in New South Wales occur in the same month, that tends to happen!

The Hot Rod and Custom Auto Expo in Sydney is now the state’s primo indoor car show. They kicked a goal this year with the ‘Nostalgia Lane’ portion of the show, it was a fantastic contrast to the elite level cars. Combined with Sydney’s car clubs, the show really was a snap shot of the region’s cool car communities. We also get our feet wet at Rattletrap #2 at Crowdy Head, the Drag-Ens hosting another killer event which shows no signs of diminishing.

Paul McIntyre’s 1932 Ford tudor on the cover this issue is just a super cool car, not beyond the reach of your average hot rodder. Those who love history with added salt will enjoy the article on the Odd Rod, a recreation of Bill Kenz’s twin-motored Model A pickup which graced the salt and cover of American Hot Rod magazine back in the late 1940s. If you prefer something more muscular, try Glenn Bloomer’s 496 Barracuda, a tough coupe with a lot of class. Chopped Holdens, dirt drags and a visit to Glass 4 Classics round out the main features.

Make sure you check out the columns and classifieds this issue, always worth a look!
