Fine Iron Rod and Custom Club in Brisbane’s west will celebrate 25 years of their Hot Rod, Classic Car and Bike Show when it gets underway this Sunday, May 20 at Ebbw Vale Soccer Grounds, via Ipswich.
It’s a chilly start to the popular swap meet but the day soon warms up as the car show hits capacity. There’s no shortage of cars and bikes and among them this year will be Craig Blackburn’s Batmobile and Paul Adams Monkeemobile replicas, so there’ll be plenty of photo opportunities for young and old. Look out for the Miss Fine Iron pinup comp and the Lowbrow art show, and if you’re in the market for pinstriping then Alan Smith from Sydney is your man, he’ll be on the brushes all morning. The event is ASRF Sanctioned.
Entry is just $5 per person for the swap and show, add $5 if you want a swap site or your vehicle judged. Set up is from 5am, public admitted from 6am, with trophies and wrap up around noon. For further info call Garry on 0433 309 256 or Amanda on 0487 042 189, or look up the club on facebook. There’s a few pics below from the 2017 event to whet your appetite!
