Parked right across from the Cruzin stand at this year’s Victorian Hot Rod Show were some familiar faces, including Graeme and Cheryl Hutson with their ’56 Ford Fairlane. Along with three other cars, they formed a display for their reasonably new club, the ‘Jets Classic & Custom Car Club Inc’.

Capped at just 50 members, the group formed in 2013 and is focused on good times and nil BS. The name comes from the movie Westside Story, set in America in the 50’s, about two rival gangs, The Jets and The Sharks. The Jets were the good guys of course! There is a song in the movie called the Jets song, which lyrics include, “Once you’re a Jet, you’re always a Jet.”

Considering that, we’re not sure if admission to the Melbourne chapter requires some form of blood initiation or not, but it won’t cost you anything to check out the website at or cruise into facebook. Dave Galloway is the President, he can also be contacted on 0407 024 688.
