HOP KING PIT AT WEST COAST LOWDOWN

Straight outta the California lowriding scene, hopping lows has been happening since the first car was installed with hydraulics – arguably sometime in the 50’s! Lowriding as we know it today – came of age in the early to middle 60’s in places like Whittier and Gardena, South Central and Inglewood in Los Angeles.

Hittin switches, hopping, bumping, 3-wheeling, pancake, dancing, front-to-back and side-to-side … there’s nothing like seeing a stunning ride being put through it’s paces – right in front of you!

The West Coast Lowdown crew have constructed a special Hop King Pit in the middle of the show, that can hold two of the top lowriders in WA, with nowhere to hide and nowhere to run!  Two cars will be representing their respective clubs, one from each club, to showcase the best moves they can in a series of crowd-voted show downs. Flanking the pit on either side will be their supporting club member rides – four on each side.

Surrounded by barriers there is plenty of room for you to watch around the outside, or from the 5-tier grandstand viewing area – everyone gets to see the action up close.

Its just one small part of this massive kustom kulture event which will be held for the first time at the Perth Exhibition and Convention Centre on October 14-15, 2017. Full details can be found at www.westcoastlowdown.com.au.
